Lead Matchmove and Tracking

  • Is primarily responsible for handling the creative performance of the team allocated to him/ her. He / She may also be responsible for partial hands on work as per the organization’s requirements
  • Serves as a technical lead and manages the work of matchmove artists
  • Determines technical approaches
  • Maintains internal pipeline, communication and efficiency within the department
  • Directly communicates with CG Supervisor to ensure proper and timely delivery of required elements
  • Establishes and enforces standards, file directory structures, naming conventions and version controls
  • Leads the development of software scripts, codes and tools that support the department and the shading and/or texture aspects of the production pipeline
  • Participates in ensuring consistency of look across the production
  • Accountable for on time, on budget execution and delivery, as well as quality, of required matchmove work
  • Establishes and enforces standards
  • Enforces directory structures, naming conventions and version controls
  • Oversees and handles all the major functional responsibilities
  • Gives inputs during the bidding/pre-selling process (as and when required)
  • Works closely with Production team during task & manpower allocation
  • Mentors and supervises Teams & Jr Team leads
  • Co-coordinates with the production team
  • Conducts Dailies & review meetings
  • Responsible for feedback and appraisals of the team & Jr Team leads
  • Co-coordinates with HR & production department to ensure that appraisal, feedback and other resource related documentation is updated / shared with HR
  • Identifies Training & Development (T &D) needs of the team & Jr Team leads
  • Responsible for handling the functional responsibility and supervising the whole team. Checks & Approves the tasks done by the team
  • Trouble shoots in times of crisis during work on a project/show
  • Responsible for in-house Creative/Technical training/knowledge transfers
  • Oversees and supervises complex tasks
  • Takes the lead in responsibilities given for his/her function
  • Differentiators between SrTL and TL would be size of team being managed, complexity of the tasks being handled, project/shot or multiple projects/shots being handled and team management experience
